Toi Gye


Toi Gye was a 16th century scholar who studied Confucius

This form begins and ends in closed stance "B".

1. turn 90 degrees left, back stance single middle forearm block
2. front stance low reverse palm heel strike
3. slide your left foot to your right foot turning 90 degrees right, scissors block
4. turn 90 degrees right, back stance single middle forearm block
5. front stance low reverse palm heel strike
6. slide your right foot to your left foot turning 90 degrees right, scissors block
7. step forward, left foot front stance "X" low block, then twin fist high punch
8. right leg front kick, land forward in a front stance, double middle punch
9. slide left foot forward to the right foot and turn 90 degrees left, closed stance
10. step forward with left leg and turn 90 degrees right, side stance mountain block
11. slide your right foot to your left foot, step forward with left foot into a back
stance forearm double low block, then a two handed head grab
12. right leg knee strike, put your right foot down next to your left foot
13. turn 180 degrees left and step forward with your left leg into a back stance

14. front leg, left front kick, land in a front stance, double spear finger strike high
15. step forward with your right leg, back stance knife hand double middle block
16. front leg, right front kick, land in a front stance, double spear finger strike high
17. step backward with your right leg into a back stance high-low block
18. jump forward and land in an "X" stance, "X" low block
19. step forward with your right leg into a front stance forearm double middle block
20. turn 270 degrees left, back stance single knife hand low block
21. move your left leg into a front stance reverse forearm block
22. bring your left foot to your right foot, turn 180 degrees right into a back stance
single knife hand low block
23. move your right leg into a front stance reverse forearm block
24. pivot 90 degrees left front stance reverse forearm block
25. pivot 90 degrees right front stance reverse forearm block
